THE PHOTO IMAGE MANAGEMENT-- A Powerful, Easy-to-Use Tool for Managing Your Pictures --Add New This is the place you add new photo images
to the database by simply "drag-drop" the selected pictures to the folder. The
program displays the "Add New" screen as following figure 04. To access the
screen, select the "Main" then click on the "Add New" from the
drop-down menu, or select the "Record" then click on the "Add New
Record" from the drop-down menu, or click on the add new button

You can add new photos to the any existing folder / category you want. But you may decide witch folder / category where you want the new photos to be in before to store them. On the left side of the screen, there is the Folder Tree. Pictures / records are categorized under this folder tree. You can find the existing folder / category from the tree by clicking on the "+" that is right to the folder name to list all the subfolders of the folder. Highlight the folder you want to store the new photos there. Or you can type in the name of the existing folder, where you are going to store the new photos, on the "Folder Search" box that is located on the left-up of the screen, then click on the "Go" button. If you want to store the new photos to a new folder / category, you need to create one. To create a new folder, select "Folder" then "Add New Folder" from the drop-down menu, or right click (using mouse's right button to click) on the existing folder then click on the "Add New Folder" item of the pop-up menu. Type in the folder name for the new folder. For more information about folders is covered in the Folder Tree section. The other thing you also can decide before you add the new photos, weather you want or do not want the program to remove the files from the disk after the photos stored to the database. If you want the program to remove the files after them stored, check the "Remove Files After Stored" check box that is located on the left side of the screen above the file list box and right to the folder tree box. By default, the check box is unchecked, the disk files will not be removed after stored.
To add new photos to the database, you first specify the location where you new photos are located. On the left side of the screen and right to the folder tree box, there are the directory box and the drive box. Select the drive and the directory to locate your photo image files. The image files will be listed on the file list box that is located just below to the drive box, after you selected the directory. The program allows you to store the most popular image files to the database such as .bmp, .jpg, and .gif files. The other format of graphics file may work with the program too. a. Add photo one at time You can add the photos one at time by highlighting the file (using the mouse click on the file name) in the file list box, the picture of the file will be displayed on the preview window that is located on the middle-up portion of the screen. After you highlight the file, the screen is displayed as following figure 04a.
figure 04a To store the picture to the database, simply drag the picture on the preview window and drop it over the folder that is right to the preview window, by moving the mouse cursor to the preview picture, holed the the mouse left button down, move the mouse will move the rectangle over the folder and release the mouse button. After you dropped the picture to the folder, the screen is displayed as following figure 04b.
figure 04b Now, you may want to input the data by typing in the title, the description, and the made by for the picture. You do not have to input data now if you don't want, you can input data for the picture any time later. You must click on the "Save" button to store the picture and save your data. After the save, if you choose to remove the file after stored, the file will be removed from the disk and removed from the file list box if the file is not read only. You can cancel to not store the picture by click on the "Cancel" button. The screen will be displayed back to figure 04a after the cancel or displayed back to figure 04 after the save. b. Add multiple photos at once You are not only able to add new photos one at time, you also can add multiple photos at once. You can select multiple photos one by one at time by holed down control key and click on the select files in the file list box. Or select a block of photos by clicking on the first file as the start of the block, then holed down the shift key and click on the second file as the end of the block in the file list box. The following screen figure 04c shows what the multiple photos selected looks like.
figure 04c To store the selected multiple photos to the database, it is just as simple as you store a single photo, dragging the pictures on the preview window and dropping them to the folder. The program displays the following screen figure 04d after you dropped the pictures.

You do not have to input data now if you don't want, you can input data for the pictures any time later. The data you inputted here is for all the pictures you dropped. You may want to change the descriptions for the pictures later by editing the records. You must click on the "Save" button to store the pictures and save your data. After the save, if you choose to remove the files after stored, the files will be removed from the disk and removed from the file list box if the files are not read only. Of course, you can cancel to not store the pictures by click on the "Cancel" button. The screen will be displayed back to figure 04c after the cancel or displayed back to figure 04 after the save. To unselect the file that was selected, holed the control key down and click on that file name. Click on any file name in the list box that will release the multi-selection of files.
